The net result is that my rank on these search engines will be higher if I am also listed on YP.com. She told me that YP.com "partners" with google, bing, 411.com and others. Most go to Google, some go to other search engines. I told her that paying for a listing on YP.Com is a waste of money because no one goes to YP.Com to search. I suspect these charges are completely misleading, because I don't think I'm eligible to advertise on YP.com unless I also advertise in the print book. She tells me I pay $85 per month for one town, $33 for another, and $183 for my yp.com listing. I pay for two column inches in two towns. In ages past, Yellow Pages has been very good to me, but things change. I've got to renew my advertising contract.
